About The Wood
Okoume' is traditionally used in making boats as it is known for it's light weight, sturdiness and in the world of musical instruments, posesses many of the tonal properties of maple. We have combined high grade flamed okume' accented with tortoise celluloid binding making the EF-11 series not only a beautiful looking uke but an instrument with truly amazing tone!
